Teri Lynn Hatcher was born on December 8, 1964 in Palo Alto, California. She is an only child. Hatcher is probably best known for playing the role of Lois Lane, Clark Kent's sweetheart, in the television series Lois and Clark. Aside from being a superhero's girl, Hatcher has also appeared in movies such as Dead in Water, Tomorrow Never Dies, 2 Days in the Valley, Spy Kids, The Cool Surface and Heaven's Prisoners.

In 2005, Hatcher won the Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy Golden Globe Award and the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) award for playing the role of the single mother Susan Mayer on ABC's Desperater Housewives.
