Ana Ivanovic is a tennis star coming from Belgrade, Serbia born on 6.11.1987.

She began playing tennis at the age of 5 and appeared in the professional world in '04 against Venus Williams in Zurich Open. What then followed are various tournaments around the world with the most memorable one being her big win at the French Open in '08. She's been steadily playing and losing, but always involved in the tennis world with at least 16 appearances scheduled this year. In her career so far, she won 8 out of 12 singles tournaments that she qualified for, out of which 6 were on the hard surface. Since starting, she won five ITF titles.

She's got more losses than wins since the beginning of the year but there are many other tournaments to be played. This year she teamed up with another Serbian tennis player, Jelena Jankovic, in a play off between Serbia vs USA, where USA team was defeated.

When she started internationally, Nike was her official sponsor, but in '06 she switched to Adidas and remained with them ever since, signing up a new contract recently. Various game manufacturers included her in their games with some of them being Smash Court Tennis 3 in '07 and Grand Slam Tennis in '09 created for Wii consoles.

Apart from playing tennis, she also appeared on fashion shows in her native Belgrade, and was also one of the sexiest sportswomen by various polls. At one stage she was No.1 however the current WTA lists her as 57th further lowering her self-confidence, however she is determined to get back up. Her mum and her younger brother support her every time she plays, while her dad, due to his work commitments, makes appearances from time to time.
